ROSH CHODESH CHESHVAN HALLEL PARAGRAPH TWO

“Quake, you Land, before your Master, before the Lord of Jacob!
Who turned the rock into a pool of water.
Pebbles into a source of water.”

Tishrei was a time of transformation. God empowered us to transform, ourselves through Teshuvah, and nature through the Four Species. The key word is that He empowered us to affect change and renewal. We experienced our relationship with God in a manner even more powerful than those who drank from the rock that supplied a pool of water.

We use this paragraph of the Cheshvan Hallel to rejoice over what we experienced throughout Tishrei, and to declare our commitment to continue to use this power of transformation in all we do throughout the coming year.
