The Malbim describes how the Mitzvos we have are not dependent on Eretz Yisroel, but Eretz Yisroel is very much dependent on our Mitzvos.  He urges us to be vigilant as a constant with our Mitzvos we do in Chutz Laaretz, (לעשות תמיד אף בח”ל) as he explains the words of this verse in Devarim[1].

“And now, O Israel, give heed to the laws and rules that I am instructing you to observe”

“So that you may live and enter and occupy the land that Hashem, the Empowerer of your fathers, is giving you.”

I was thinking that since today, the Midah is “Netzach in Gevurah” that it is an opportunity to add awareness and intention in our Mitzvos, so that we perform them with zerizus (opportunity maximization) as per the directive of the Malbim, and as a constant, we are promised the activation of both life and secondly the entrance, and inheritance of the land of Eretz Yisroel.

Since life is only when one attaches to Hashem[2], it seems to me that when we perform mitzvos with a commitment  to attach to Hashem, it is then that we arrive and inherit the land of Eretz Yisroel.

Therefore if we perform a Mitzvah with such a focused commitment of seeking to attach to Hashem  we are using the influence of today’s middos to biezras Hashem to attach ourselves to Hashem and thereby activate our arrival and inheritance of Eretz Yisroel.  In the Bracha of Ahavas Olam we are requesting Hashem make our hearts attach to His Mitzvos and we also request that Hashem make us single-hearted in our love according to the Siach Yitzchak, and awe of His name.  I think that if we are performing our mitzvos in such a way with love of Him and seeking attachment to Him, it then leads to an existence of single-heartedness in our love and awe of His name.  Perhaps it is when that we can earn our inheritance, Eretz Yisroel.

Cause our hearts to hold fast to Your mitzvos, and unify Make us single-hearted and undivided in our love and reverence of Your Name.  our hearts to love and have awe of Your Name.

      This leads to

Hasten and bring upon us blessing and peace quickly from the four corners of the earth break the yoke of the nations from our neck and speedily lead us upright to our land

      Kavana:

      • We can have extra concentration in the bracha of Ahavas Olam, or Ahava Rabba to ask Hashem to help us do our mitzvos in such a way that we are attaching to Him and with love of Him so that our mitzvos are such that transport us to Eretz Yisroel and we activate Hashem’s promise of our inheritance, of Eretz Yisroel.

May we be zoche to use this day to attach to Hashem and activate His promise of Biezras Hashem, B’mhaira

(Devarim, 4:4)
