The Baal Shem Tov compares a prayer to the uppermost bride, the  kallah anthropomorphically  to Hashem.  The Bridegroom’s (Hashem’s) friend who offers the adorned  Kallah (Prayer) to Hashem is the Tzadik

I find it amazing how the  Baal Shem Tov describes Klal Yisroel as the “Tzadik” , the best friend  who presents the Kallah (Tefillah- Shechina) to Hashem kavayahchol.  One of the amazing things to me is this fact. The word Tzadik shares the same root as Tzedakah. This is perfectly consistent with the Breslover Rebbie’s  explanation of prayer  in his Lekutei Moharan.  He equates one who davens by pouring his heart to Hashem to one who gives charity generously with a soft heart.  Perhaps, the davening as one who presents the bride to her groom is an illustration of how one davens as an act of Tzedaka to The Ribono Shel Olam.

There is also a recommended practice of donating Tzedaka before one prays, just as there is to learn Torah before one prays.

Perhaps giving  Tzedaka and learning Torah are the ingredients to be Supreme light benders to The Supreme Light.  This way our Tefillos can refract in His presence.  Torah and Tzedaka are indicated as the ingredients necessary  according to the  Lekutei Moharan for our Tefillos to transform  the human being, or Klal Yisroel to her high and important status.  Also known as the ability for this unbelievable refraction of light .

When there is the unification of the Kallah , Hashem’s bride is presented to Hashem, anthropomorphically, containing our human prayers, all dressed up , and bejeweled; it is  special close union of The Infinite Supreme Being, and us through our prayers.

If prayer serves as our means to bend light , or interact with Kavyachol’s Supreme light, and the Baal Shem Tov describes our prayers as the Bride to Kavyachol, it would be logical to conclude that there is a Bending of Light that occurs when there is a Zivug that occurs between a Chasan and Kallah.  The Mishadech Shiduchim provides for the possibility of Shidduchim in all sorts of unexpected ways and can join two different people together. Hence considered an act of Krias Yam Suf.  Perhaps we can think of it as a light from one substance that is able to pass to another substance and unify and create all different lights.

May all our Tefillos rise up to Highest Being to create beautiful unifications of Him to us, and all those needing Shidduchim, without delay.
