A most desired and beautiful song

There are many different pesukim in Torah speaking about Eretz Yisroel.  One of which is the following which  is very beautiful to me.

“I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the region of the Canaanites, the Chiti, the Emori, the Perizi, the Chivi, and the Yevusi”^[1]. (Shemos, 3:8)

The Ibn Ezra on this verse provides different explanations as to why it says that Hashem came down to rescue us from Mitzrayim.  Saying that He came down might cause someone to think that He exists only up in Shamayim and not here on earth chas v’shalom.

One of his explanations that he provides is that this is actually referring to Hashem’s decrees that come from Shamayim.

“It is only because the גזירות (decrees) come down from the Heaven that The Torah employs this term of וָאֵרֵ֞ד, (I will come down).”

This made me realize the following:

• The act of saving us from Mitzrayim is actually a decree that Hashem sealed and bound in the heavens.
• The act of elevating us from that land of Mitzrayim is also a decree sealed and bound in the heavens
• The act of elevating us to the land of Eretz Yisroel is also a decree sealed and bound in the heavens
• The attributes of Eretz Yisroel, of being אֶ֤רֶץ טוֹבָה֙ וּרְחָבָ֔ה אֶל־אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ, a good land that is spacious, flowing with milk and honey is also a decree sealed and bound in the heavens.

Kavana:

When we say ברוך שאמר, (Baruch Sheamar) , we can have the intention of emphasizing the fact that the promise of Eretz Yisroel is actually a decree of the heavens as stated by the Ibn Ezra  and acknowledging that Hashem fulfills His decrees.

בָּרוּךְ גּוֹזֵר וּמְקַיֵּם -Blessed is He Who decrees and fulfills

According to the Orach Chaim, 51:1 it states that one needs to say this Bracha with בניגון ובנעימה (with melodiousness and with a tune) as it is (שיר נאה ונחמד) a song that is beautiful and most desired.

We can be ones who give testimony Hashem being most reliable and Emes.  When He makes a decree in the heavens, He does fulfill it eternally.  We can have this decree in mind of elevating us to Eretz Yisroel and saving us from Mitzrayim when singing this Bracha with joy.

We can use this moment to celebrate this decree made in heaven for our elevation to Eretz Yisroel and our release from Mitzrayim, not limited to all the shackles and limitations imposed on ourselves, by us and to us.

May we be zoche to sing this bracha in a way that is most desired and beautiful to Hashem for the realization of His decrees already made and fulfilled  for our elevation to Eretz Yisroel , a land of good and expansion, flowing with milk and honey as the pasuk states.
